Able to be an eyewitness to the contemporary behavior of global businesses puts you in a category beyond the norm. As economies change, so too must those participating in them move beyond the usual or customary and become more open and malleable, discovering new ways of communication and innovation.

The cultivation of an attentive awareness that is clear, stable and nonjudgmental is the result of mindfulness training, allowing those who participate, a more vibrant life with a greater sense of balance, dexterity, organization and openness.

The purpose of Contemplative Consulting is to give leadership, management and staff guidance on how to see clearly into the nature of the mind through training in mindfulness meditation. Mindfulness is a way of paying attention to the present moment and when one achieves this ability, one gains a firsthand understanding of the way things are, without reliance on opinions or theories. It’s a direct experience, which has its own vitality while at the same time, gives rise to a new sense of calm that comes from knowing something for oneself, beyond any doubt.

Mindfulness allows us to be in the present moment of our life and our work, not in the mode of habitual distraction. Although assumed to be wide-awake, most of the time we are stuck; hijacked by something in the past or daydreaming for something to happen in the future. As a result, little time actually gets spent living in the present.

However, we all have the capacity to listen genuinely, to make informed decisions, to handle stress, to stimulate innovation, and to access previously untapped resources and apply them to the challenges we face every day. Having this new cognitive dexterity, through being mindful and present, gives us potentially valuable information, and with it, an increase in our new powerful abilities.
